PEACE IN THAILAND AND BETWEEN THAILAND AND CAMBODIA

2010-06-21

The prevailing truce between the rebels (red skirts) and government troops in Bangkok and some other cities in Thailand and along the disputed borders of Cambodia and Thailand should be made permanent and lasting.

All efforts should be made by the WARRING Thai political factions to work things out among themselves as both would be the victims of the downfall of Thailand’s tourism and economy. This will have great repercussion on the lives of their people who, after all, have been known to be peaceful, kind and charming. Although many neighboring countries benefit by getting a number of their tourists, this is not a wish they want. The wish is for them to get together united as country and as a people.

Between Cambodia and Thailand on the other hand, they should go back to this harmonious relationship as neighbors and brothers. They ought to find a common ground and “agree not to disagree”. A piece of land maybe too valuable for each other historically- speaking, but it should never be a site for bloodshed even in dreams. Let it be zone of peace and tranquility.
